Stage Plays

Seven of his plays have been produced in Hong Kong, including CHESS & CHINESE CHESSMEN (Cantonese, 1989), WOLF IN THE HOUSE (Cantonese & English, 1990 & 1991), TO MAKE HER HIS WIFE (co-written with John Chung & Eddie Shee, Cantonese, 1992), OF MEN & BEASTS (Cantonese, 1992), NO MAN'S LAND (co-written with Dino Mahoney, Cantonese, 1992 & 1993), YOUNG & DANGEROUS (Cantonese, 1997), BUGS (Cantonese, 1999), MR. WU'S FILES - MISSING PERSON (Cantonese, 2000).

In London, his play, THE PILGRIMAGE OF THE HEART, was produced at Etcetera Theatre in 2008.  His revised play, WOLF IN THE HOUSE, was showcased in Soho Theatre and it was given a staged reading at the Tara Arts in the same year.  His other play, THE TWO OF US, was given a staged reading at the TYPHOON FESTIVAL organized by the Yellow Earth Theatre Company.

Movie Script

  • SPIRIT MONEY (a full length commercial film script developed for BREAKOUT, a project organized by Channel 4 and Wrap X film project: a supernatural kung fu thriller, 2008)
  • MERRY GO ROUND (awarded Enfield Film Fund & was shown at the British Film Institute, 2008)
  • CHINA WATCH (shortlisted for the Haringey Film Festival, 2006, currently in post-production stage)
Poetry

Simon's poems were published in OUTLOUD (Xtraloud Press, 2002)

Novel

Simon is currently writing a novel, a historical detective thriller set in 11st centruy China - the book is heavily researched to ensure all the historical facts are accurate.
